My name is Rutger Merckx, and I live in Antwerp, Belgium. I've always had a passion for design and architecture, which naturally extended to my love for lighting. With a background in lighting, I am deeply passionate about the way light can transform spaces and create unique atmospheres.

This passion led me to recently start Christian Andre, with the goal of creating timeless objects that are crafted in an artisanal manner. Each piece I design and create is made with the utmost care and attention to detail, blending traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. Christian Andre is not just a brand but a personal endeavor named after my middle names, Rutger 'Christian Andre' Merckx.
